Retrofitting - Structure

The quality of the retrofitting operation must involve a careful analysis of and check on the machine structure. Using specific equipment, dimensional and flatness checks are carried out on the machine tool pallets, intervening by adding materials with subsequent rectification where necessary.

One of the strengths of retrofitting consists in being able to give a new lease of life to dated machinery, made using extremely rigid and heavy (and therefore very precise) structures, equipping them with technologies and functions that were not around at the time they were built.
